The Offbeat Goat Collection
Skinopi Lodge
Milos, Greece
An off-grid contemporary-chic secluded nature getaway overlooking Milos Bay
Plucked right out of Dwell magazine, Skinopi Lodge inspires a true sense of awe. Perched clifftop overlooking the bay of Milos, the camouflaged stone lodges are sleek and contemporary, oozing unadorned minimalism and elegant eco-friendly aesthetics. Juxtaposing the lodges’ barren exterior, light-filled inner spaces feel inviting, stylish, and bespoke.
This off-grid retreat is all about modern design, minimalist aesthetic, and connection with nature — a bold fusion of polished gray concrete, exposed stone walls, and floor-to-ceiling glass walls blurring the boundaries between inside and out. And aside from occasional rogue offbeat goats, there is no sign of civilization in sight.
“We are fully committed to preserving the spectacular natural environment of the island and the local culture and traditions that complement it…We aim to connect our guests with the vibrant local community while acting as the curator of the local experience.”

the look.
Sexy and sleek, Skinopi is understated luxury at its finest. Spaces are thoughtfully designed to bring nature into the space with no singular detail detracting from the surrounding views: light-filled rooms, floor-to-ceiling windows, polished concrete, outdoor showers, and al-fresco dining areas. Comfy beds with crisp white sheets and pastel-colored cotton throws look out through expansive windows at the wild herb gardens and dazzling sea beyond.
the experience.
drool-worthy views
Chill and soak up mesmerizing views of the bay.
beach access
Explore our favorite beaches: Gerakas (only accessible by boat); Sarakiniko (Instagram-worthy beach known for its turquoise waters, white volcanic ash formations, and cliff jumping); Papafragas Caves (huge rock formations meet over a sandy beach; and Tsigrado (small secluded beach, hard to access, but worth the effort). Be sure to visit the famous caves of Kleftiko and Sikia and snorkel in the amazing blue waters off Polyegos (the most beautiful of desert islands in Greece).
hikes + history
Take the hiking trail to the top of Nichia, which leads to the archeological area, the site of an ancient obsidian mine and factory. Also, be sure to explore the villages of Pollonia, Klima, and Plaka; the archaeological museum (celebrating Venus de Milo); and the Catacombs of Milos for a peek into its ancient history.
local eats
Grab a bite to eat at Medusa (Madrakia), the quaint local hangout for real home-cooked Greek food, and a sunset drink at café-bar Outopia. Don’t miss lunch by the sea on the nearby island of Kimolos, and be sure to dine at the star-studded taverna To Kyma).
