Offbeat Goat is a curated conscious travel platform. We curate with a seasoned eye for design, a nose for the offbeat, and a keen sense of who's walking their talk in the sustainability space. And by spotlighting and simplifying bookings for hotels and tours, we hope to facilitate positive impact travel for discerning travelers.

we curate + spotlight.
We guide choices for travelers who value good aesthetics and positive-impact travel. We scour destinations for places and experiences that make our hearts flutter. We seek originality, beauty, and personality and know what we like when we see it and feel it. We typically gravitate towards small, independently owned boutique hotels. And even with the occasional splurge-worthy recommendations, we do not pursue luxury for luxury's sake.
We research, visit, and/or Zoom call with our hotels to ensure a good fit. We engage hoteliers in conversations about their hotel's ethos, backstory, and commitment to the planet and the community. We are not looking for perfection. Rather, we value intention.
we simplify booking.
For each of our featured hotels and tours, we include booking links that redirect you to the hotel’s website or an online travel agency. We earn a small referral commission if hotels or tours are booked through our affiliate links. This is at no additional cost to you.
we inspire itineraries.
Tapping into our network of travel connoisseurs, we develop CityKITS, which offer recommended places to eat, stay, and play in the cities we love. CityKITS are easily accessible on mobile devices and can be used in conjunction with curated Google maps to help you navigate while traveling.
And for those in need of recommended itineraries, we also design TripKITs for a handful of our favorite countries. TripKITs include self-guided day-to-day itineraries and tightly edited places to eat, stay, and play along the way. We are not travel agents who prepare and book trips, but we CAN streamline the process by providing you with all the handpicked ingredients you need to do it yourself.
we give back to the planet.
We commit to donating 1% of our annual revenue earned through affiliate links to 1% FOR THE PLANET, an international organization founded by Yvon Chouinard and Craig Mathews that supports environmental causes.
We also collaborate with Stripe Climate to combat climate change, so 1% of revenues earned from our travel guides goes towards helping fund next-generation carbon removal.
our motivation.
Travel, for us, is an art, and like good art, it has the power to elevate, connect, and bring us together as part of a larger community. That collective 'we' and a shared sense of responsibility for the people and places we visit drive the growing sustainable travel movement and shift the narrative to traveling with a purpose. By no means is sustainable travel a sacrifice. On the contrary, it’s the roads less traveled, nature untouched, encounters unscripted, and inspiring conversations unleashed that define this new kind of conscious luxury.
In response to the growing demand for conscious travel, we launched this content platform leveraging visually-rich hotel features, personal hotelier stories, city guides, and itinerary guides to boost visibility for choice hotels and tour guides committed to positive-impact tourism.
