Tranquil, unspoiled getaway with an artsy Italian flair

Melisses Andros is the darling of Cycladic boutique hotels, and for good reason. Thanks to owner Allegra Pomilio, her charming hotel is a delightful expression of all things beautiful and a haven for inspiration. Spaces are unique and playful, weaving together curated artwork, handblown glass, kitchen trinkets, and old black-and-white photos to create a narrative of whimsical beauty.

Perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the crystal blue Aegean Sea and surrounded by manicured gardens, stone walls, and winding goat paths, we couldn't think of a better oasis of calm and comfort.  But Melisses is far more than just aesthetics; it’s a haven for foodies seeking experiences where family-style home cooking (including prep and display) is central to the hospitality.

“The house, realized by the best team of landscape designers and architects, completely respects the local flora and fauna by using local plants and rough stones, creating a continuous connection with the environment, almost disappearing from human sight.”

the look.

Homey with a weathered vintage-chic vibe. Spaces (named after urchins and mullets) are rich in charm and character, decked out in weathered vintage furnishings, time-worn photos, and splashes of modern art throughout.

Whitewashed rooms with wood-beamed ceilings and flagstone floors are graced with cyan blue armoires, objet d'art, and plush beds swathed in handwoven blankets and pillows. Expansive windows and stone terraces overlook flowering gardens and the tranquil plunge pool set against the backdrop of the Aegean.
