Casa Violeta

Granada, Nicaragua

An artfully designed colonial-chic casa in the heart of Granada

This Granada getaway offers uniquely decorated rooms awash in curated antiques, contemporary art, and handcrafted tiles. And a tropical courtyard to die for, loaded with cool hangout spaces, potted palms, and a gorgeous custom-tiled pool. Designed by the owners of the Tribal Hotel and acquired by the travel-savvy founders of El Camino Travel, this casa is the hippest place in town.

And overnight stays include insider's access to one-of-a-kind experiences curated by El Camino Travel. An oasis of boho-chic meets old colonial charm, with all the "un-Googleable" travel advice you'll need to feel like a true local.

“The villa is decorated with antiques sourced throughout the country, custom ceramics from the village of San Juan del Oriente, and modern art from contemporary Nicaraguan artists. We visited several studios to source the perfect art for Casa Violeta that added additional cultural texture and layers of character and soul to the space while celebrating all the talent and craftsmanship of the country.”

the look.

Tucked away in the cobbled streets of Granada, Casa Violeta is a delightful fusion of tropical chic and Moroccan elegance. Stylish interiors have black and white tiled floors, richly colorful kilims, and mid-century modern furniture.

All rooms are uniquely decorated and awash in curated antiques, contemporary art, and artisanal accents. The kitchen is striking, designed with locally made tiled floors, etched glass, wire cabinets, and brushed concrete countertops. And perhaps, the highlight of the guesthouse is its deliciously lush courtyard, chock full of potted plants, and comfy sun loungers surrounding the dazzling custom-tiled pool.
