Habitas Namibia

Windhoek & Surroundings, Namibia

A unique multi-sensory safari experience in the Kalahari

Stretched along a hillside ridge, the standalone tented rooms at Habitas Namibia are designed to have minimal impact on the surrounding environment. Constructed largely of stretch canvas and mesh, they are minimalist and chic but not lacking in creature comforts: earth-tones envelop each tent where voluptuous king-sized beds, rain showers, wraparound decks, and private fire pits provide utter indoor-outdoor luxury. In place of solid walls, rooms are lined with floor-to-ceiling canvas, immersing guests in panoramic views of the spectacular surroundings, blurring the line between inside and outside.

But this is not your traditional old safari lodge: Habitas aims to break the classic mold by offering live local music and dance gatherings, cooking and medicinal plant workshops, and daily yoga and meditation sessions, in addition to game drives and nature walks led by local San Bushmen. Guests can also enjoy outdoor cinema screenings of educational films and documentaries, plus lectures on conservation efforts. This experience-led approach is designed to connect guests to their surroundings and each other.

““Nature plays a fundamental role for Habitas Namibia and when creating the property, we ensured full immersion into the natural world, comfort and space designed for human connection, and sustainability throughout the entire design and execution process.”

— Kfir Levy (co-founder of Habitas Namibia)

A fusion of safari, wellness, and cultural immersion with an uber-chill, no-fuss vibe. Canvas and sustainably sourced wood suites blend seamlessly into the surroundings offering all the luxury details expected of a Habitas resort - rain showers, wraparound decks, oversized beds, and yoga mats. The modular building design in Namibia draws its inspiration from the natural landscape, encompassing everything from desert dunes to expansive savannas. These structures are primarily constructed from sustainably-sourced wood and are adorned in earthy tones.
