Namibia / Damaraland & Skeleton Coast

Bleached whalebones, rusted shipwrecks, and endless dunes

Damaraland’s isolated raw beauty with vast savannas, burnt ochre hills, granite koppies (boulders), and desert-adapted wildlife inspires a sense of awe. In the south are numerous geological and historical attractions. The north is better known for its wildlife, including desert elephants and rhinos.

The Skeleton Coast (to the west of Damaraland) is the most remote of locations but hauntingly beautiful, spotted with bleached whalebones, rusted shipwrecks, and endless dunes dropping into the sea.
