Greece / Crete / Kapsaliana Village Hotel

Charming rustic-chic getaway in a restored 17th-century hilltop village

Sitting snug at the end of a windy mountain road framed with a stone village house, Kapsaliana is a refuge for lovers of solitude and nature. Surrounded by thyme-scented hills and framed with silvered olive trees, Kapsaliana impresses with its idyllic setting. Interiors are all about minimalist simplicity, blending contemporary décor with a rustic-luxe vibe.

Think rough-cut stone, exposed beams, terracotta-hued floors with spaces adorned with warm wood furnishings, hand-loomed textiles, and local ceramics.

“Kapsaliana Village hotel pays homage to the past; celebrates the present; and paves the way to a more balanced, sustainable future.”

the look.

Surrounded by fragrant Mediterranean gardens and ancient olive groves, Kapsaliana feels like a bucolic hideaway lost in time. Rooms are rustic-chic with exposed rough-cut stone walls, decorative tiles, wood-beamed ceilings, stone arches, and original olive grindstones throughout. Spaces feel tranquil, blending contemporary décor with a subdued farmhouse-chic vibe, muted earthy hues, wooden bowls, pomegranates, and hand-cut flowers here, there, and everywhere. Upstairs rooms have stunning terraces overlooking the terracotta-tiled rooftops, verdant valleys, and the sea below. A delightfully inviting pool sits smack dab amidst terracotta clay pots and flowering gardens — perfect for kicking back and chilling.
