Eco-chic modern fynbos suites surrounded by vineyards, flowered fields, and unbeatable mountain views
Plucked straight out of an issue of Dwell magazine, these swanky concrete fynbos suites are a true refuge for lovers of solitude and nature; a bold fusion of monochrome concrete, warm woods, and Scandi-chic minimalism designed to bring the outdoors in. Stylish light-filled spaces are tastefully pared-back, blending earthy hues, polished concrete, and wall-to-wall windows with expansive wooden decks forging an instant connection with nature.
And we love that Farm 215 prides itself on conservation first and hospitality second. Eco-savvy owner Maarten is all about keeping the footprint light and tirelessly channeling funds back into preserving the Fynbos reserve. Gazing out over grassy plains towards the boundless sea, Farm 215 offers a delicious retreat to chill, unplug, and relish nature.
“As a pioneer in sustainable tourism, Farm 215 is not a run-of-the-mill accommodation but offers an authentic experience with a low footprint.”
—Maarten Groos
the look.
Perched on the fynbos-clad hillsides overlooking Walker Bay, the homestead and its sleek, contemporary wood and concrete suites ooze unadorned minimalism and eco-friendly aesthetics. Interiors are decked out in palettes of muted oatmeal, earthy reds, and forest greens, with mid-century modern furniture and funky photographs scattered throughout — minimalist contemporary elegance without the fuss. Comfy beds with crisp white sheets and goose-down duvets gaze out through expansive floor-to-ceiling windows at the dramatic fynbos beyond. And expansive wooden decks create an instant connection with nature. Crushed stone walkways connect each suite to the main homestead and its communal restaurant space, surrounded by manicured courtyards and a delightful infinity pool.

conservation story
Confab with owner Maarten on Farm 215’s innovative conservation initiatives. And be sure to engage the staff eager to share their stories (ask about the leopards in the area).
horse, dogs, and leopards
Enjoy a warm welcome (each morning) by the motley but oh-so-cute furry threesome: Guapa, Jonas, and Tim. These free-roaming (and well-behaved) family pups are always eager for a game of fetch and nuzzle. Then get your riding boots on and experience horse-riding (or galloping) in the Fynbos Reserve with the African Horse Company.
farm-to-table feasts
Savor the home-cooked breakfasts and dinners served by Chef Bruce in the cozy communal dining area overlooking the manicured gardens. And don’t miss sundowners on the private deck or poolside at the stunning infinity plunge pool near the main homestead.
