The sparkling gem of the Sporades Islands
Undulating pine-forested hills, sheltered emerald coves, and chalk-white beaches as far as the eye can see: Skopelos is the sparkling gem of the Sporades Islands. And despite its temporary Mama Mia fame, the island remains blissfully unspoiled and off-the-trodden track.
A perfect island where you can relax, reconnect and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The Offbeat Goat showcases one delightful Scandi-chic rental property boasting the best sunset views on the island.

the highlights.
Wind your way up steep steps to the famous Mama Mia church (Agios Ioannis Kastri) — you’ll find it’s much smaller than it looks in the movie but still quite a view!
Drive down the winding roads towards Perivoliou Beach and pop in for a post-beach smoothie in the nearby pine-shaded beach shack.
Wade along the dramatic cliff-flanked white sand beach of Hovolo, where you’ll find superb rocks for diving at the furthest end of the beach.
Soak up the local vibe in the sleepy village of Glossa, and for foodies, be sure to reserve a special night out at the well-known (and star-studded) Agnanti restaurant. The delightfully chatty owner, Nikos Stamatakis, is always happy to share the history of his family’s restaurant.
Enroll in an afternoon cooking class at the Kitchen Lab (run by Agnanti) and learn how real dolmades (stuffed vine leaves) are prepared.
Stroll around the lovely port town of Skopelos, and don’t miss the sunset climb (along its northern flank) to the town’s tippy top for spectacular sunset views.
