 Greece / Amorgos, Cycladic Islands

A throwback to a slower and simpler way of life

Remote, unspoiled, and infused with a unique sense of authenticity, Amorgos is a throwback to a slower and simpler way of life. A mountainous outcrop sprinkled with white-washed villages, olive groves, and dramatic cliffs, Amorgos is an instant pleaser with dramatic views, sheltered coves, monasteries, and plenty of trails for hiking. And the Chora feels delightfully unspoiled with its labyrinth of stone alleyways and colorful window sills spilling potted geraniums and tangled wash lines. Do not expect glitzy boutique hotels, package tours, or nightlife on this remote island.

The Offbeat Goat collection offers a hilltop boutique hotel near the island’s Chora.
