Lost Ridge Inn

Quedeli, Georgia

Georgia / Kakheti / Lost Ridge Inn

A weathered-yet-chic farmhouse nestled in the vineyards of Georgia’s Alazani Valley

An ode to Kakheti’s past, this intimate boutique hotel marries rustic charm with traditional farmhouse design. Renovated in 2018 as a joint venture between Living Roots Travel and MIR Corporation, Lost Ridge celebrates slow living and immersive experiences. Interiors are tastefully restored, retaining original features like exposed stone walls, clay-block flooring, and old wooden shutters.

Rooms are one-of-a-kind and tastefully decorated with antique finds and farmhouse touches. Think: handpicked flowers in spotted tea kettles, vintage cameras, and handcrafted furnishings throughout — a harmonious union of rustic-chic design, comfort, and tradition.

“We believe in making meaningful business and that tourism does have an extraordinary social impact…By bringing travelers to the regions, we try to inspire locals to stay real and to share what they’ve inherited through their ancestors. We believe that improved social welfare and a strong village lie at the foundation of a free and independent country; we’d like to think that with our approach, we are contributing to building a brighter future for Georgia.”

the look.

Taking a cue from a traditional farmhouse aesthetic, rooms are awash in warm woods, exposed stone, and upcycled furniture. Rooms have an earthy vibe with traditional hand-sewn blankets, elaborate light fixtures, and furnishings custom designed and handcrafted by village woodworkers from local materials. Designer bathrooms and stylish glass-framed verandas add a welcome modern touch — stylish and cozy with plenty of artisanal farmhouse charm. The complex of structures is surrounded by tree-filled gardens, stables, and plenty of horse trails.

Hike out to Signakhi (2 km), and don’t miss the Sighnagi National Museum, including the Niko Pirosmani room. Enjoy visiting off-the-trodden path places with the help of Living Roots.
