Juta - Mountain Huts and Camping
Backcountry adventures in Georgia
A beautifully situated mountain hut and camping site in the remote backcountry of the Chaukhi Mountains
Situated near the village of Juta, surrounded by dramatic alpine fields and the snow-clad Chaukhi mountains, sits a darling campsite called Zeta Camping — the perfect spot for a weekend getaway (just 125 miles from Tbilisi). The camp also offers one mountain hut with hot water, electricity, bare-bones rooms, and a hostel-style restaurant.
In addition, small single and double tents and a few geodesic domes are scattered on the surrounding hillsides. All camping equipment (sleeping bags, etc.) can be rented on location. Accommodations are seasonal and only open from March to October. Another option further up the trail is a lovely alpine mountain hut called Fifth Season.
