Georgia / Racha

Remote and lost in time

Hemmed in by the Greater Caucasus mountains to the north and the Rioni river valley to the south, Racha feels remote, undeveloped, and lost in time. Less frequented by tourists, this part of Georgia offers stunning untouched nature — a true paradise for nature lovers, mountaineers, and off-the-beaten-path enthusiasts.

Boutique stays are hard to come by in this part of Georgia, but there are plenty of guesthouses to choose from, as well as a unique geodome glamping hideaway near the Sadmeli Winery. These quirky but comfortable dome-like structures offer easy access to hiking trails, the Sadmeli Winery, and  The Wine Space (a centuries-old open cellar in a 100-year-old building).
